LOVE

What’s your favorite word?

It breaks the hardest and smoothens the roughest,

It brightens the darkest and fortifies the simplest,

It rides on the horses of emotion and alights at the terminal of empathy,

It is the foundation of our world and the keeper of our homes.

It occupies the soft spot of hardest man,

It is the sustaining oil that keeps our lamp burning,

It is the only weapon that put hatred to perpetual sleep,

It is the desire of all men.

Too precious for gold to acquire,

Very scarce to come by in the palace,

Not a function of riches and wealth,

It choose to reside in a common hurt where sincerity lives.

It is without prejudice,

Neither does it dwells in the castle of reservation,

It has no preference for a colour or race,

It sees all as equal and treat all as same,

It handcuffs conflicts and put war to death,

It is the most beautiful jewel that all hearts desire,

It presence exhumed comeliness in a community battered by hatred,

It is the solution to human confusion,

In it lies a world of peace, serenity and hope,

It expression at the corridor of genuineness heal the broken heart,

LOVE is always true, peaceful, sincere and kind,

It is steadfast, unmovable and always abounding,

It has no fake or falsehood,

It is distinctively different from lust,

An expression of LUST should not be taken for LOVE,

We often fall into depressing disappointment when we take lust for love,

Love never disappoints but lust does,

Love is wholesome, complete and perfect,

It is the expression of divinity towards humanity,

It is the last lifeline for our troubled world.

LOVE IS MY FAVORITE WORD IN THE STORMING WORLD.

THIS COOL EVENING

What are you doing this evening?

Reflecting on the current situation in Marrakech,

Putting words of consolation together for my mourning brothers and sisters,

Following the latest news in the global space,

Rejoicing with the joyous and mourning with the bereaved,

Reading articles of men and women of like passion,

Working for a better tomorrow,

Hoping in the bright moon light, for a world of love, empathy and kindness.

And,

Planning to rest my crowded mind in a blissful dream.

WHEN YOUR CHARACTER DINES WITH THE DEVIL

What personality trait in people raises a red flag with you?

Hatred for humanity becomes normal and life means nothing to you,

Expression of an uncontrolled anger becomes your slaughtering sword,

Sycophancy becomes your identical twin,

Domestic violence becomes your daily companion,

Religious fanaticism parmiate your thoughts,

Unforgiveness is displayed on your gallery,

Nepotism, tribalism and sectionalism become your neighbors,

Wickedness becomes your weapon,

Malignity becomes your maid,

Impunity becomes your defense,

Falsehood becomes your medium of interaction,

And self-centeredness becomes your ideology.

Keep off from them that are of double standards,

Never commit your life into their hand for watch,

You mean not more than a tissue paper in their hearts,

Danger zones they are, no loitering at their corridors.

Run to other sane corridors for help,

Never dozed off where abnormalities are normalized.

Watch and discern those red flags,

A wolf can looks so gentle as lamb,

His horrendous nature is manifested once his prey has not route of escape.

Beware!

9/11 IN RETROSPECT

Twenty and two years lies in the back garden,

Where the whole world assembled in that castle,

A day that forced the world to her knees,

As the world trade fare crumbled,

And many sent to their early grave.

The wickedness of the heartless was in the sky,

As the thunderous blast tore down world house,

World wailed at the waiting talking screen,

Not a single country was left out of mourning,

A day when the devil and the world dine together at the gate of hell,

The wound still looks fresh on the bereaved families and friends.

Two decades and two years was an history untold,

Should humanity lives in the hearts of all,

That demon wouldn’t have wrecked havoc on fellow men,

Hatred has no resting room, where love has no room left unoccupied,

9/11, we will remember till our last breath.

To the lost souls we placed our solidarity

By their grave yards,

To the bereaved families, we pray for a renewed comfort,

To the sponsors of wickedness and terrorism,

We admonish them to choose humanity over fanaticism,

Let the world come to understand,

That good neighborliness is without hatred,

That humanity first, before religionism,

That peace as nothing to do with war or violence,

That tolerance is the only virtue that keeps us in bond despite our different faces,

That one evil act begat another horrendous one,

That diplomacy without love is an act of war.

As the world reflects on 9/11, and mourns the tragedy in Marrakech,

Let us embrace love for all and hatred for none.

HUMANITY, NOT DIPLOMACY!

Marrakech earthquake on the air,

Solidarity on the faces of everyone,

Hundreds on queue to give life to the dieing,

No one is considering race or colour for blood donation,

Over twenty-one hundreds corpses already recoded,

Our hearts melt as corpses are excavated from the rubbles,

But humanity will not cease to display her kindness,

Eagerness of person to help persons is second to none,

I stand in solidarity at the edge of the Sahara,

Chanting accolades to men and women helping out there,

I honestly wish to be on the rubbles saving lives,

But we all can’t be on site as rescuers,

From our corridors we will keep watching, wishing and praying,

To our brothers and sisters in Morocco,

We join you in pains and agony of heart,

You are not alone in this, dear compatriots,

Our collective solidarity for safety remain steadfast,

All will be well.

I beckon at UN, WHO and AU,

This is the time your relevance is put to test,

Brothers and sisters are out there under tents,

Without bread, water, clothes and shelter,

Put diplomacy and differences to rest,

Let humanity prevail by making provisions for Marrakech,

The world is watching,

Much is expected from our world leaders,

Let G20 stand to her relevance,

No diplomacy in this , all we need is humanity.

Morocco on our hearts,

World’s leaders on our watch.

Humanity and not diplomacy is our quest.

PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES: I love you all!

Name the professional athletes you respect the most and why.

Men and women who bind the world in bond,

With their sweats the soul of the world is sweetened,

Never should any of the them be loved less.

Gasping for breath yet they keep running,

Trying to entice the noisy crowd,

Enduring booing and jeering from every corners,

Yet they keep on pressing hard while their heart is fainting.

We gather together to watch these fellows,

Our colours, races and tribes are never count,

Just for the sacrifice of these selfless athletes,

Our depression finds no place our minds are free.

We watch them and our sorrows are dispelled,

Little do we wander that they also have bad times,

We reviled them most times for not meeting our expectations.

Oh how we can reason that this one’s are not machines,

In their toilings we criticize them so badly,

With tears they leave the pitch in regret,

Never did we comfort them via the media.

Some of them even died of depression,

To all athletes I blow measureless love,

Our hearts are pleased even when your performance is low,

We are aware that your challenges too are hideous,

That is my reason for chanting your accolades on world street,

You are our pride, our joy and our enthusiasm,

We can’t imagine a world without you guys.

To the athletes that died in action I write,

Though your souls be gone yet your legacies live on,

We will always remember your sacrifice till your last breath,

Your measureless effort is crested on our minds.

I respect every athletes both the living and the dead,

In the snow, in the rain, in the hot sun, you don’t quit pleasing our minds,

We love you back in a greater measure,

Let the world show her unreserved gratitude to all our priceless athletes.

TEARS AS THEY GO IN PAINS

Oh death, where is thy sting?

How callous you chose to be,

I wail with my brothers on the ranges of Atlas,

Oh…oooooo, my siblings have gone too soon,

Buried under rubbles without fault,

Causing endless pain on the street of Africa,

What is the sin of my brothers in Morocco,

Why has death played the advocate of the Lucifer,

On the soil of Africa, ooooo, what have we done to deserve this,

A thousand of casualties and still counting,

Both old and young bids us farewell without notice.

Africa mourn on the streets of Morocco,

Tears flow across the Sahara to Tanganyika,

Kilimanjaro quakes with a loud voice in agony,

Seeing her son’s and daughters buried in mass,

Stream of consolation flood our balconies,

Our hearts are too heavy to bear the pains,

Seeing fathers, mothers and children running Helter skelter,

Looking for loved ones to find,

Morocco mourns Africa wails,

A dark September on the corridors of black continent,

Earthquake I call you to judgement,

Oh that you can pay the compensation till eternity,

Can they still live those that were buried,

Can I still chat with them as we use to,

Wake them for me that we may hug,

Nooooo, death you can’t do this and go scot free.

To my brothers in Morocco I bring comfort with heaviness of heart,

No degree of consolation can forestall solace in a broken heart,

But please accept my condolences as I also bear the pains,

Our loose is incalculable, but in bond we will come out stronger.

We are not without hope as we burry our deads in tears,

We are not without hope as we bid them good bye,

We are not without hope, though our eyes are flooded with many waters,

Africa please console thy offsprings.

Let the beagle of comfort blast the air,

Let it echoes from from the the shores of Rabat to the cape of good hope,

Let the desert winds carry the wagon of consolation to Atlas,

That Africa may be comforted and her deadly wound be healed.

With the Moroccans I wail along,

With the deceased families I wail along,

With Africa I stand in hope,

That no such occurrence on our shores again.

RELAX

How do you relax?

Teach my mind to rest though the billow rolls too hard,

Give my heart a solace in the storming sea,

Let me not be moved by fear when the terror roar,

In the midst of rage, cause my heart to relax.

Relaxation comes but with rest,

When hustling and toilings seems to sleep,

With a sign of fulfilment never to sigh,

No trouble, no toiling, the heart is cause to relax.

Rest is for the body after a busy day,

Sleep, sleep and sleep the weary bones cried,

Never will a weary mind go to sleep though the body is weak,

A burdened soul finds no solace even when the body is at rest.

State of the mind blows the piper,

Condition of the soul dictates the tune,

Until the tossing boat of mind finds an anchor,

Relaxation is but a tale told in the moonlight.

When night falls, the body falls to bed,

When mission smiles at accomplishment the soul resort to rest,

But how often do soul and body come in tandem,

Though body in bed, the soul wonders in dream.

Nothing Comes To Mind

If you had to give up one word that you use regularly, what would it be?

From dawn to dust I sat in thought,

Racking the interlocking tissues within the socket I bear,

Which of my most familiar words should I openly betrayed and let go?

None, because all words are precious to me than gold.

No sane human can give up on the word ‘love’,

just because all wants to be loved by all,

Neither should anyone give up the word ‘hate’,

because when we cease to mention it intricacies,

the importance of love can be undermine,

All words have foundations predicated

On fundamentals of culture on which they were birth,

Men called it ‘etymology’, the root and

science of words across cultures,

Just has humans spread out from different cultures,

Words either good or bad are as humans,

By “words” the “world” was made,

Therefore friends and teachers on this site,

Any attempt to give up on any word,

Is an attempt to give up on the creative power of all words.

Words make our world so beautiful,

That’s why we are all here

To daily play with words,

To daily reason with words,

To daily encourage with words,

And to daily interact with words.

WE WILL ALL BE OFFENDED OVER AND OVER AGAIN!

Are you holding a grudge? About?

We live in a world of human, where fallibility characterizes the nature of all.

Grudge is a conscious human reaction to a perceived negative action exhibited by another person or group of persons against us or against our affiliates.

The ability to know that man by nature is not without errors in his daily actions, reactions and interactions, will help us to conscientiously manage our grudge or grudges, if we are offended by virtue of other people’s actions or way of live.

Our imperfections as human is the basis of our errors and offences, we must however see human as human and not as demy god or robot.

Moreover, grudge endangers human psychology which can lead to an emotional imbalance in humans. It beclouds our sense of rational thinking and we become myopic and insensitive to the differences of other people as well as their frailty as human.

Inability to forgive and let go, keeps us perpetually in the tunnel of despondency and depression if care is not taken.

In some cases, people we have grudge against might not be aware of ever offending us. Grudge hurts the exhibitor more than the offender. Therefore, there is no profit in keeping grudge for more than necessary, it is advisable for us to walk up to the offender(s), we must learn how to express our displeasures to issues, and to settle as well as bury the matter.

But if our offenders appear to be incorrigible, we need to walk away, not because we are cowards, but because we have our emotions and lives to protect.

I see everyone one that daily comes across my paths as potential offenders, I have prepared by mind to forgive and forget even before the offences come. I have too many things on my plate to attend to, than to unnecessarily condition my mind to remain at the corridor of grudge.
