WORLD CEASEFIRE DAY

Invent a holiday! Explain how and why everyone should celebrate.

Pulling triggers to end lives

Not too conscious of the hate,

Should that appease Holy God?

Oh how callous we can be.

Just a day to preserve all,

Peace within and peace with all,

And that no life goes with gun,

That we might all sleep in peace.

Just a day of ceased fire,

Global rest for ranting bombs,

And in love we eat our breads,

That no man will die by sword.

Let war machineries take a break,

Question the powers that why more war,

See no reason to wake arsenal,

So our globe will know more peace.

World ceasefire day on my mind,

Let the world reflects on past,

Does it pays to go to war?

No moral rank for ending lives.

Tell UN on ranging hills,

That WHO is weak and sick,

Too weary of victims on battle lines,

Let’s cease fire so WHO may rest.

Blow the beagle in that day,

Not of war but that of peace,

That Eurasians may hug in love,

And middle East may kiss the hearts.

Cease fire day on the globe,

Put the guns and bombs to rest,

With minutes of silence for the gone,

To toll the path of peaceful coexistence.
