You have three magic genie wishes, what are you asking for?
Peace in all corners of the globe,
My topmost wish,
That we might behold one another,
As brothers and sisters,
Never to make guns and bombs
our companions as usual,
Honest report at all global
corridors of reportage,
That BBC, CNN, VOA, ALJAZERA and
other global media houses can
be sanely human in their
reports of global events,
Not given to falsehood, lies and
inflammatory report,
That they might grow beyond
political gains, tribal affiliations
and propaganda,
Our world is going insane by day,
because of insincerity of our
media outlets,
Wish that they might be healed
of their insanity, that our global
atmosphere might be set loosed
from the scourge of hatred and war.
My last wish before I draw the cotton,
Sanity in our global political space,
That our leaders might consider the
common man on the world street,
That they might embrace peace
in all corners,
That they might stop wasting the
innocent lives of young folks
at the war front,
That they might show the same
love they have for their daughters
and sons to the sons and daughters
of harmless global citizens.
I need no more to make wishes,
Once these are heartily considered,
No peace in the castle of chaos,
No love in the corridor of falsehood,
No sincerity on the lips of
callous leaders.
