Describe a family member.

Who is my family?

More often we share with

friends and folks,

Our greater times are spent with

unfamiliar acquaintances,

Not related by blood or contract,

But we find solace in having

them around us,

Millions of miles we are to siblings,

Fathers and mothers might be

gone too soon,

Oh that men can rethink to reflect,

Family is only defined by love.

Many finds no love with

their blood tie,

Enmity goes beyond the

shores of blood,

But love recognizes all as humans,

Even an alien can be next of kin.

Who is a family member?

Folks that we mutually bear

one another’s burden,

Folks that are not held bent under

the yoke of colours, race or tribe,

Folks that esteem and appreciate

fellow humans,

Like passion selfless folks in all

corners of the globe,

Men and women that frown at

war against fellow human,

That is the family member I cherish,

Beyond the confines of blood tie,

The world needs to revisit the origin,

As the seed of the first man

and his wife,

We need no tarry longer on

the path of hatred,

We have a common bond

in humanity,

Until I see you as my

brothers and sisters,

Until you see me as same,

Till then love will overlook our

differential errors,

Then the world can be one big

happy family,

As it was at the beginning.

  3. Good morning, Love it, so true if only Family could continue to show love and cherish the moments spent together as a family, especially when both parents are around they are the glue that keeps us bonded together.

    Many times I have heard after your parents pass away some family members, usually stay away. Holding on to grudges or disagreements or debates from the past, they rather hold on so they have an excuse to keep away… they didn’t Like you or love you their actions speak obviously. Everyone is out for themselves, too busy to communicate, follow up, or plan a date to see each other.

    So sad but true… well everyone one day will get older and the sad thing is to be alone when you know you have family. In the past, you didn’t appreciate or show love for one another. That’s the sad part or the conclusion of why you’re alone and sad just thinking!
