NOT MUCH BUT IN WHOLE

What principles define how you live?

Contentment, though not woo

by too many,

but it’s best companion

that prevents my

thoughts from unhealthy

comparison.

Self-discipline, very hard to

be maintained

as a close ally, but here I keep

it close to

heart so I can be freed

from frivolity.

Honesty, it is well appreciated

when it’s

favours the world, but if other

way round, the

world frowns at it. Yet will I

not trade it

for gold.

Charity for humanity irrespective

of what

you are, who you are or where

you are, so long you are human,

you win my heart within

my capacity

Principles are the true definition

of human character, they reveal

a great deal of us even when

we tend to hide. They are like

perfume of an uncommon

flagrance, you cannot spray

it and hide it odour.

  1. Beautifully expressed, your words capture the essence of virtues and values that shape a meaningful life. Principles indeed define our character and honesty, contentment, self-discipline, charity, and the unwavering commitment to these principles showcase the depth of one’s humanity. Your analogy of principles being like perfume is profound; they cannot be concealed, but instead, they radiate the true essence of who we are. Thank you for sharing this thoughtful reflection.
