Humans are products of love, compassion and kindness. It is therefore inherent in every conscientious human being to replicate love, compassion and kindness among fellow humans, irrespective of colour or race. In a world of social disconnection that we found ourselves, unreserved love and compassion for fellow man is lacking, hence, the act of kindness is as scarce as water in the dry desert. If we all can exhibit daily compassionate love one to another, the whole world will be touched by an act of kindness. Love + compassion = kindness in our societies. Act of kindness cannot be shown in a required proportion, when there is deficiency in the measure of love. Therefore, our love and compassion must defile the barriers of boundaries, colour, race, language and tribe. The most acceptable universal language that touches the heart is not music, it is an act of kindness that is predicated on an unconditional love and compassion for humanity. Now to answer the question of the day; my love for fellow humans is the basis for my daily act of kindness, as I daily walk down the street. In my lack, I shared the little I have with the needy. I help the old fellows around me to fix things they couldn’t fixed for lack of strength. Many more acts of kindness that I cannot remember. Kindness is the reflection of a good heart.

You have an unbelievably good skill at writing, and expressing yourself. This post was especially relevant to me as I try and exemplify the same actions that you propose. You see my days are numbered here I have three heart conditions, severe, hypertension, and I recently suffered a mini-stroke. The heart surgery that I had was only marginally effective.
I spend all of my time trying to stay positive. And it is in fact considerably difficult, but as you mentioned, above, one thing, I attempt every day that I go out in the public, I try and make someone smile I try to make them laugh. It makes me feel better too, When I am successful.
Above all, however, I try as hard as I possibly can to act in every way every day, in every activity, and treated the moment and the day ……. as if it could be my last.
Thanks so much for this heartfelt comment. I heartily feel your situation, I tried hard to caution my eyes from raining tears as I read through your comment. If your situation defiles medical solutions, then I believe in miracle for you. There is absolutely nothing God cannot do. I heartily join you in prayers that God of all flesh, who is the greatest physician will minister divine healing to your spirit, soul and body. Please, never give room for depressing thought, state positive and you will see the wonders of God.
Yes, thank you so much for your encouraging words. Now that you’ve expressed some interest in my situation, may I continue??
Are used to be an athlete, a soldier, (Basic Training ~Honor Graduate), and I grew up as strong as an ox on the farm. When I got home from basic training, I entered the advanced program of ROTC and was training for Rangers School.
I can only believe that the good Lord is testing me, humbling me perhaps. Well, I don’t need much humbling. I’ll tell you that, in my every day activities, I have exactly 90 seconds that I am capable of doing hard cardio work, whether that be lifting something, running , working, you’re not generally working hard that it triggers my heart. But at 90 seconds, it’s all over.
Then, I turn my cardiac event of some kind with ether being a fib, attack or just an irregular heart beat with an enlarged heart, complicated by high blood pressure. BY SITTING for to long….
Additionally, I am unable to work in any capacity. For example, I cannot sit for more than 15 minutes at a time before my legs begin to swell up, and it becomes dangerous as a clot could make its way up to my heart and brain, and I would have an instant stroke and I would be dead.
During this last severe winter in Northern Utah, I volunteered at a warming center, which was for homeless people to come from the hours of 5 PM to maybe 8 AM. I don’t recall the hours and because of my background military security I was at the top of the list….. right up until we had a forthright, honest discussion, about my health issues, and it was mutually decided that I was going to be unable to assist them and helping the homeless people stay warm in any way…. not even as a receptionist or intake specialist.
I was devastated however, I understood. The last thing this warming center with me….was for their Director of Security to drop dead the middle of the night, I guess….. LOL. Yes, that’s right it’s a laugh out loud moment. As I imagine myself, dropping dead in front of all of these unfortunate people who just wanted a warm place to stay for the evening….. and then I just suddenly dropped dead….. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. I know that perhaps might sound morbid or inappropriate. However, that is how I feel. I have no fear of death at all. I look forward to the day when I can meet with the Savior, God, Buda, whomever, and hopefully, I have a forthright discussion to push the elevator button in the up position, and not the downward one……. LOL
OMG….. I had lost track of how long this note had been so I’ll end it here and you have a good evening. God bless and keep up the good work and all that.
Hmmmmm, honestly I read over and over again to relate your condition to heart without stirring up the potentials of my emotion, but still my emotion could not rest as my heart beats repeatedly. There is a strong connection between our daily activities and our body system, even if the body system can no longer bear the rigor of those activities because of old age, the veins and the tissues will still prefer to be stretched as usual. I presume that is the common physiological/anatomical challenge of former athletes or those that were used to rigorous exercise. However, it is not out of place to believe God for divine intervention (healing). No medical condition is too much for God to manage. Many at times, when our conditions seem to be too complex to be humanly resolved, we loose hope and we pray for death. To me, it is too early to expect death, except our earthly time is over. God has a purpose for your life, and that’s why you are still alive despite the circumstances around you. Never give up, never give up to your trials, Jesus will bid them depart. Trust in God, sing when your trials are greatest, trust in God and take heart. I pray again for you that the healing virtue in the blood of Jesus Christ will rest on you, and your total healing will be perfected. Amen!. God bless you.
Once again I see that you have a great philosophy on life. You have HIS spirit To guide you. Someday we will meet in person and we will enjoy the moment.
My greatest joy at this time as when I have to go out to run errands or get groceries or whatever I actually try and find strangers that I don’t even know and get them a smile about some thing. My absolute favorite thing to do is to get them laughing hysterically.
I think you and I are one of a kind. We will meet someday and we will smile.
All that has been given to us by our Savior. Amen
